Fascinating gadget where usage is limitless

This is truly a fascinating gadget. Nothing like I have experienced! The Kogeto Dot is basically a lens that snaps easily onto your iPhone4/4s. The lens gives you the ability to record video with a 360 degree panoramic view of your environment. So, I snapped it onto my phone, downloaded the free Looker app from iTunes and pressed the shoot button. It basically pops up with a circle image that you adjust and calibrate with your lens. Then you press the upper volume button (or the record/ red dot button) to record. Then you place on a flat surface or the palm of your hand. Tip: if you don't calibrate your lens correctly, your output won't look as good (you may think there it's something wrong...but it's really user error and is easily fixed). Anyway, it's really cool. When the video is done, you can view it on your phone and use your finger to move the video around to what you want to see. It so much easier to understand if you see it in person, but say you are recording the ocean, you can scroll the video to view the beach/sand, the coast or the ocean with. It is sooo EASY!! I have used it for work meetings, for my daughter's dance class, for a football game and I would definitely use it if I wanted to sell my car. I would place the phone in the center of the car and shoot/record for a minute, then post on FB or Craig's list and the buyer can scroll through ALL sides if the car. If you want to see want I mean just hop on to dotspots on Kogeto's website. Oh, and the cool thing is you can upload to FB, Twitter, Kogeto Dotspots or email your friend a link. I like that I can share my experience with my family and friends. When they watch the video, they can choose what subjects they want to focus on. It's interactive with your loved ones, not just you...I'll have to play around with it a bit to become a better camera person, but all in all--you can't deny the cool factor. P.s. The product is unassuming. You open the package and it only comes with a microfiber pouch and the snap on lens (I like using the pouch to wipe my phone and lens). It doesn't look like much...but it gives a whole lot back!!!! Disclaimers: It's not perfect...don't expect a high definition video, but I still love it because it is almost artsy and most camera apps OFFER the vintage/grainy effect anyway. The beauty of this product is anytime they improve the software, it's free and downloadable...I heard that the quality of video output is even better with the 4s, but that's because the 4s has a better camera... Not because of the Dot, itself. Oh ...last thing, you have to take the phone case to snap on the lens... But really..you don't shoot enough video to feel truly inconvenienced.
